More about Desert Mountain Homes For Sale
Geronimo #18 – Par-3 plays 181 yards from the gold tees. The final hole of this dramatic layout finishes besides the architecturally stunning Cochise/Geronimo Clubhouse. It makes a very exciting finishing hole with terraced tee boxes and a dramatic gulf, separating golfer from green. It is both visually appealing and intimidating. The tee shot requires a short middle iron and demands a fair degree of precision. Rocks and bunkers surround the small target green.
Cochise #7 – Par-3 measures 215 yards from the gold tees and features a tru island green. Again, this is a middle iron shot, downhill, demanding precision. With rocks around the green and water just about everywhere it makes for a very intimidating golf hole. The double green services the 15th hole as well.
Apache #3 – A short par-3 measuring only about 144 yards from the back tees. The hole falls downhill with stunning valley views from the tee boxes. While very short, it is threatening with bunkers and rocks surrounding the green. Additionally, the green slopes from front to back.
Chiricahua #2 – par-4. This dramatic hole is only 290 yards from the back tees, but rises 80 feet in elevation from tee to green. The hole offers a safe opportunity to play up, but can also tempt a longer hitter to drive the green, as it is reachable. Besides being a good risk-rewards hole, it is visually stunning. It plays right up into the mountains, towards a bowl-shaped green, one of the highest points in elevation in all of Desert Mountain.
Renegade #4 – A strong par-3. Like most of Renegade’s holes, you have two options of pin placement, white or gold, difficult and more difficult respectively. On this hole it is the right pin (gold) which plays more difficult. Either way, the hole demands accuracy from the tee. Distance is more critical than right to left. The green is well-guarded by water and bunkers, which can shake many golfers on the tee box. The green is straightforward for the most part, although the green for the gold pin has a bit of a slope left to right. It plays 230 yards gold-to-gold and is considered by many to be the most difficult of Renegade’s par-3s.
Outlaw #10 – This is a short par-4 measuring 338 yards from the back tees. This downhill slight dogleg left hole usually leaves a short wedge shot to a small narrow green which if you miss leaves a difficult up and down. It presents one of the most difficult short shots you will ever see.
